In the Room
Spent two evenings with friends in front of an open fire place in the Old Library - seperate common area in the hotel. Bar was open all night and the night porter was really nice telling us stories about the area and the hotels history.
Luxurious bathroom with jacuzzi bath, great big comfy beds, fantastic views.
Not a very good choice from the breakfast buffet, food not replenished very quickly!
Lovely relaxing break in beautiful surroundsings.
i liked the fact that it had free use of golf swimming and spa facilities
The view of the enchanting scenery was beautiful.
I stayed this hotel with my familiy (wife and two chirdren (7y &2y). The hotel had prepared a romm with triple beds when i arrived, even thought I booked a room with double beds and an extra bed.
We were there for a weekend of walking and the location of this hotel was perfect. The outside of this hotel is great looking, just a shame that the inside doesn't match the exterior. It's actually really disappointing because the hotel could be really fabulous.
This hotel is very very tired looking and in dire need of updating. The rooms are dull and shabby and the cleanliness of the rooms could definately be improved on. Breakfast in the morning was also a very tired affair and the food itself was average at best. The 'bar' is tiny with maybe 4 tables to sit at. On the saturday night that we went in for a drink, there was no fire glowing despite the torrential rain that was pouring down outside, there was no music playing and it was a very quiet and awkward atmosphere. And a final warning, when running the taps in the bathroom, the water was very very brown, apparently due to peat in the water as it was raining. Almost black water in your spa bath is very unappealing I can assure you!!!!
very good location and decent decor. The rooms were clean and spacious. Some have refurbished bathrooms but generally the bathrooms were good.Mine had a jacuzzi but it didn't work. Also, we requested 2 twin rooms and were offered 2 singles instead of one of them in the same price. Good scottish breakfast - my brother liked the black pudding (like good Polish kaszanka).
the jacuzzi could work...
Not a lot rooms old fashioned and very dusty food good but not cheap drink expensive for 25ml
no probloms everythings as should be
The location was beautiful and outside the hotel and grounds were immaculately maintained. It could be such a fantastic hotel.
Our room was poor and it had an awful smell of dampness and mothballs. It was a terrible disappointment to arrive at such a lovely looking hotel to find such a poor standard of room. Also the breakfasts were genuinely dreadful and I don't consider myself to be fussy - I'll eat anything.
Liked the location and the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very professional but still maintaned a freindly relaxed stay.I do not have a single complaint......well apart from my starter which was unbelievably over priced. it rained the entire stay but this did not impact on our experiance, this is down to the Ballachullish hotel. Well done.
We have stayed at this hotel in the past and came to expect a high standard. Frank and his staff did not disappoint. The food in particular we like also the friendliness of the staff.
Nice loch side location, room was nice with good facilities for the evening and for meals.
Great location, staff & food good. Standard of room 128 was poor compared with other rooms on the same floor
As above our room was a poor standard but when we complained we got a price reduction
